Questions go to [hello@glassaisle.com](mailto:hello@glassaisle.com). ## What we collect ### When you ask for a free audit - The store address you enter and the email address the report goes to. - Whether you ticked the box for occasional research emails, and the country our hosting provider places your connection in, which decide what email we may send you. - A one-way hash of your IP address, which we use only to limit how many audits one connection can ask for. We don't keep the address itself. - The emails we send you and any replies you send us. ### About the stores we audit Our crawler, [GlassAisleBot](https://glassaisle.com/bot), reads a store's public pages and keeps what it read: the pages, screenshots and structured data behind every finding. This is information about businesses, not about people. ### When you buy a report Your name, email address and order. Stripe processes the payment; we never see your card number. When you start a checkout and when you open your full report or its PDF, we record the time, your IP address and your browser. If you dispute the payment with your bank, we send these records and your order to Stripe, which passes them to your bank as evidence that the report was delivered and opened. If you leave a checkout unfinished after agreeing on Stripe's page to hear from us, we keep your email address to send you one reminder about it. After we deliver your report, we ask Trustpilot to invite you to review us. We send Trustpilot your first name, your email address and your order number, and Trustpilot sends the invitation. We ask for every buyer, wherever they are, and checkout says so before you pay. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data first, we don't ask. To unsubscribe, reply "unsubscribe" to any email from us. ### On this website We measure visits with analytics that set no cookies for anonymous visitors, and we record errors so we can fix them. ## If we emailed you an audit you didn't ask for We audit online stores from the outside and email the results to a business contact at the store. We found your name, job title and work email address through business contact data providers such as Hunter, and checked the address with an email verification service. We use them only to send you the audit of your store and a few follow-ups about it, and we contact people in the United States only. You can stop all email from us with the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by replying "unsubscribe". You can have your data deleted by replying "delete". Either way, we keep a one-way hash of your address so we never contact it again. ## If a colleague asked us to send you a report Someone at your company replied to our email about a free audit of their store and asked us to send it to you. We checked your work address with an email verification service and sent you that report once. You can unsubscribe or have your data deleted as described below, and a deletion also removes your address from the reply that asked for it. ## Why we use it - To run the audit you asked for and send you the report. - To send the follow-ups about your report, which you can stop at any time, and research emails if you asked for them. - To deliver paid reports, answer your questions about them, and handle refunds and payment disputes. - To ask you, through Trustpilot, to review us after you buy a report. - To keep the service working and stop abuse. We never sell or share your data, except with the service providers below, with your bank through Stripe if you dispute a payment, and with a colleague you ask us to send your report to, who sees that you asked. ## Who processes it for us Cloudflare stores our data and runs the crawler; Vercel serves this website; Trigger.dev runs our background jobs; Resend, Instantly and Google Workspace send our email; Stripe takes payments; Anthropic's Claude reads store pages, reads the replies buyers send us to see what they ask for, and answers their questions about their reports; PostHog measures visits and records errors; Hunter provides business contact data; Trustpilot sends our review invitations. Our data is kept in the United States. ## How long we keep it - Free reports and their evidence: 90 days. Paid reports and their evidence: 24 months. - The IP address and browser recorded for a checkout or a view of a paid report: 180 days. We keep them for that long even after a deletion request, because we may need them to answer a payment dispute. Your name and email address go at once. - Records that show we followed email law, such as when a message went out and when someone opted out: 3 years after we last contacted the address. - A one-way hash of an address that unsubscribed or asked for deletion: for good, so it is never contacted again. ## Your choices - **Unsubscribe:** use the link in any email from us, or reply "unsubscribe". It takes effect at once. - **Delete your data:** use the deletion link at the bottom of any report email, reply "delete", or see [how to delete your data](https://glassaisle.com/delete). We finish within 72 hours and confirm by email. - **See what we hold:** email [hello@glassaisle.com](mailto:hello@glassaisle.com) from the address in question.
